Mr. Bennetch's Mathematics Classes
AP Calculus

This is a calculus AB course. The coursework begins with 5 summer assignments covering various mathematical topics from Algebra I through Trigonometry. The class meets weekly during the fall semester to complete the first two chapters of the text, thereby providing the time needed in the spring semester to review for the AP test. The study of calculus is introduced by way of limits, which segue into an in-depth look at differential calculus. After differential calculus, the coursework will focus on integral calculus. The final two weeks of the course will consist of daily review and practice in preparation for the AP test. A supplementary workbook will be utilized for the review. All students who successfully pass the HACC mathematical placement test and earn a C or better in the course will receive 4 college credits through the HACC College in the High School Program.
