This course begins with a review of the basic concepts in arithmetic such as order of operations, using signed numbers, and evaluating expressions. The algebra concepts start with simplifying expressions and move to topics such as solving equations, solving word problems utilizing algebraic methods, and basic operations of polynomials. The class terminates with an introduction to algebraic factoring.
